TW Estate Chardonnay:

• Exceptionally elegant, this pure expression of Gisborne Chardonnay offers delightful citrus blossom and honeysuckle notes on the nose, flavours of white peach, apricot and just a hint of cream can be found on the palate, which is wonderfully balanced, smooth and delicious
• Cool fermentation with aromatic yeast and partial malolactic fermentation has maximised the true characters of Chardonnay. An extraordinary Summer combined with extraordinary wine-growing has culminated in this delectable Chardonnay which required no further adjustment prior to bottling. This wine shows wonderful richness now, with full expression of fruit aroma and flavour. Enjoy within the next 5 years
• Harvested in the cool of the morning, ripe Chardonnay grapes were crushed and destemmed to the press then the juice was cooled in tank for gentle clarification. The juice was racked to tank for cool fermentation followed by partial malolactic fermentation. Richness and complexity have been achieved without the use of oak. This wine required no fining prior to being filtered and bottled
• Food Pairing: This rich, smooth Chardonnay will match well with flavoursome chicken dishes, vibrant seafood and your favourite antipasti

TW Estate Lilly Rosé: 

• Palest, prettiest pink, this inaugural Carmenere Lilly Rose is perfumed with white lilly and raspberry essence. Flavours of ripe, plump raspberry and strawberry sherbet enchant the palate offering a vibrant and refreshing experience. The finish is dry, without cloying confection character, ensuring success as a food partner
• Harvested in the cool of the morning, the Carmenere for this Rosé was gently crushed and destemmed to a red fermenter where some of the juice was separated (saignee) after a short time with the grape skins. This ensures fruit flavour and delicate aromas are retained without tannin or excessive colour. The juice was cooled and slightly clarified before transferring to the fermentation tank where it was fermented with aromatic enhancing yeast at cool temperatures. Post-fermentation to dryness this wine (after trials) did not need further refinement before being stabilised, filtered and bottled
• This wine will express the best of its flavour and aroma in the next 2 – 5 years
• The area along the Hexton-Waiharere foothills had been likened to the Côte d’Or region in France by an avid Burgundy fan, hence the name ‘golden slope’ was born. TW Wines which are grown on these slopes combine the best hand-picked grapes from the vineyards of these two most respected grape growers. They have a unique character with forwarding fruit flavours, arising from the terrior
• Food Pairing: Enjoy this wine in the sun with friends simply as it is or with your favourite antipasti. With a drier, richer red berry palate, this wine will pair well with savoury dishes such as smoked salmon and duck as well
