Hi Silas, below is the response from our beeswax supplier. I hope this answers your question.
"We do regular testing on our beeswax but not all beeswax is tested. Our results can show very small traces, but this is extremely low
Our beekeepers follow guidelines about when they have varroa/miticide strips in their hives, which are treated twice per year (Spring and Autumn)
These strips are placed in the brood boxes (bottom box where the bees live).
The honey boxes go on top of the brood box when the strips are removed (or the boxes are removed before the strips are added in the autumn).
However all bee products do potentially have some residue but the guidelines for treating and processing, ensure that this is minimalised
We use the virgin cappings wax (from the honey boxes) in our pellets which has spent less time in a hive (normally 1 season) and as per the guidelines, is not exposed to the strips, so this also reduces the chances of potential residue even further
Also with the production process (heating, filtering), again any small traces that might occur are reduced again."
