Just checking, can the flashlight use either of the batteries listed - 'Battery: 1 x AA or 1 x 14500 3.6V battery (not included)' ?

Hi Cheryl,
The flashlight uses either AA battery or 14500 battery ( the one which is rechargable). Thank you

While AA and 14500 are similar physical sizes AA. Batteries are 1.5V and 14500 are 3.7V. White LED’s generally require a Forward Voltage of around 3.4V to operate so I don’t believe will work properly with AA batteries. 14500 will cost more than torches are available 700mah up to above1200mah in rechargeable but batteries and chargers will cost much more than torch

Hi Bruce,
AA battery is disposible meanwhile the rechargable batteries can be used for a very long time.
So, eventually it will be take same cost to change the AA battery many times. AA battery can be used either, only for short time.
